Champion fencer awarded MBE

Georgina Usher (Computer Science 1991) has been awarded an MBE in the Queen鈥檚 Birthday Honours for services to fencing.
Georgina won 10 British titles and represented Great Britain at numerous World Championships in her athletic career before being appointed chief executive in 2014.
She has fulfilled a variety of volunteer roles in fencing over the years from club to international level, including club coach, competition referee, British Fencing Board Director, Performance Director and Safeguarding Officer. She is an elected director on the .

鈥淚 feel extremely honoured to be personally recognised, but also thankful for the recognition of British Fencing and our sport.
