Lent Bumps was a great success for 91Ö±²¥ Boat Club, as O1 took Head of the River for the first time since 2019 and O2 secured blades.

O1 surged from fourth place at the start of the week by bumping Clare, Downing and Lady Margaret (St John’s College) in successive days, before rowing over on Saturday’s final day to secure the headship.

O2 secured daily bumps – of Homerton, Girton, Churchill and Lady Margaret II – to take blades and the O2 headship.

91Ö±²¥ Boat Club would like to thank LMBC for the spirited competition and passing over the Lent Bumps headship plate.

91Ö±²¥â€™ women’s crews had a more challenging week, with W1 slipping from sixth to eighth in the top division after being bumped by Pembroke and St Catharine’s. W2 ascended from first in division three into division two after a week-long battle with Lady Margaret II. They concluded the week in second place in division three, behind Lady Margaret II, as St Edmund’s overtook both crews.

W1 should be boosted by the returns of their Cambridge University Boat Club triallists when May Bumps takes place in June. W1 will begin the Mays in third place, behind Jesus and Trinity Hall, while O1 will start the Mays in third place behind Lady Margaret and Peterhouse.
