For the second successive year, nearly one quarter of students who applied to Gonville & 91ֱ�� have received an offer for undergraduate study at the University of Cambridge, the College is delighted to announce.

91ֱ�� received 1242 direct applications for undergraduate entry in October 2026 and has made 208 offers for places. An additional 82 offers have been made to 91ֱ�� applicants from other Cambridge colleges through the winter pool. The 284 offers mean 23% of applicants to 91ֱ�� have an offer to study at Cambridge from October 2026.

Dr Chris Scott, 91ֱ�� Tutor for Admissions and Outreach, said: “We would like to congratulate everyone who is receiving an offer for 91ֱ�� and Cambridge today. It is a special moment and we wish everyone luck in their summer exams.”

Offer holders were selected on the basis of academic potential, irrespective of background. A range of academic and contextual factors, plus interviews, were part of the process.

State-educated students make up over 80% of offers to UK-based students, for a second-successive year. More than one third (36.5%) of offers made are to students with at least one indicator of disadvantage.

Dr Scott added: “At 91ֱ��, we are delighted so many talented applicants chose to apply to us – and we are thrilled to maintain a student body which more closely represents the diversity of post-16 education in the UK, showing the success of our outreach initiatives. 

“We continue to offer advice and information on applying to 91ֱ��, Cambridge and further academic study through our successful in combination with our long-running outreach programmes and schemes.”

91ֱ�� has made 208 offers for 2026 entry, with a further five to 10 offers expected to come through the Foundation Year (Foundation Year figures are not included in the statistics below).

Of these 208, three were carried over from the 2025 admissions round, and three were made to applicants who had originally applied to other colleges, through the Winter Pool process.

2026 Offer-holder statistics:

54.1% of offers have been made to female applicants and 45.9% to male applicants.

90.9% of offers have been made to home applicants and 9.1% to applicants from overseas.

Of our home offers:

81.4% are to applicants from the state sector

36.5% have been made to applicants with at least one indicator of disadvantage.

18.1% have been made to applicants whose home addresses lie in the bottom two quintiles of the Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD).

7.4% have been made to applicants eligible for Free School Meals (FSM).
