Research interests
My research develops stochastic control and analysis methods for models underpinning systems in the life science. By exploiting the structure of continuous-time Markov chains and Hamilton鈥揓acobi鈥揃ellman equations, I seek to design efficient feedback strategies for regulating living systems and reveal fundamental limits of feedback in biochemical reaction networks, infectious disease processes, and queueing systems. I have recently started to develop an interest in the control of energy systems.
Teaching interests
My teaching focuses on signals, systems, and control for engineering students. I try to emphasise the interplay between theory and practical engineering applications, helping students build intuition alongside analytical skill.
